What is the Lifeboat Network Review Circle

Created by Ben Kadel, Modified on Mon, 7 Oct at 12:17 PM by Ben Kadel

The Lifeboat Network Review Circle is a sub-circle of our Network & Outreach Guild.

It provides support by reviewing social media posts, articles, website changes, etc. for appropriateness and usefulness to fellow Lifeboat Builders.

  • Anyone in the network can be on the review board
  • Our evolving criteria for "good enough" posts was developed as part of Connect the Dots Club (Mapping the Territory) . They include:
    • focuses on patterns / process - understanding how systems work
    • considers different perspectives, sees interconnections
    • does it encourage / support relationality
    • invitational, asks questions instead of presenting answers/solutions
    • engaging storytelling - allows different people to see themselves in it
    • considers how humans build culture; systems theory in the 3D world
    • what are the important conversations no one is having?
  • Review process: Does the item meet the criteria? Is it "good enough for now"
    • Asynchronous (no meeting required) - review files on your own and email comments.
    • Timeline: every two weeks, invitations for review sent on Wednesday, review by Friday.
  • This could develop into a deeper process depending on the desires of members of the circles.
    • It could lead to deeper reflection and discussion among circle members
    • It could refine and enhance the review criteria
    • It could start to generate ideas for new posts on its own
