Please visit this page to read our video recording policy.

At the Lifeboat Academy we recognize and affirm every individual’s right to privacy, as well as the principle of consent from which we operate. Many of our events are recorded and posted to YouTube and other public social media platforms so that anyone who wishes to may follow along with our work remotely. Taking all of that into consideration, our video recording policy is as follows:

  1. We will use speaker view instead of gallery view in Zoom for webinars and any other time there are privacy concerns;

  2. We will let all participants know at the beginning of a session/event if the event is being recorded, and if so, whether it will be posted publicly or shared internally;

  3. All participants can make choices to hide their identity, including being off camera and changing their name;

  4. Participants can also ask members of the Lifeboat Crew to remove any part of a conversation that they don’t wish to share.
